The IIT Roorkee has released the dates of GATE 2017 Examination on the official website gate.iitr.ernet.in. As per the latest updates, GATE 2017 will be conducted on February 4 – 5, 2017 & February 11 – 12, 2017. The main important factor is IIT Roorkee is the conducting authority of GATE 2017. Further infornation will be posted on the official website by 25 June, 2016.
The examination conducting authority will open GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) for Application Filling, Enrollment and Application Submission from September 1, 2016 to October 4, 2016. Last date to make the changes in the examination city choice is 16th November 2016.
Eligibility for GATE 2017
Candidates who wish to appear in the GATE 2017 examination must fulfill the eligibility criteria specified in the image below:

How to Apply for GATE 2017
GATE follows a complete online application process at the site gate.iitr.ernet.in. Candidates need to fill the forms online and pay the required fees via net banking, credit/debit card or e-challan.
Important Dates for GATE 2017
The online examination will be conducted from February 4 to 5 and 11 to 12.
The online application process will start from September 1.
The last date for the submission of an online application is October 4.
The last date to change the choice of examination city via GOAPS login is November 16.
Admit cards will be available from January 5, 2017.
Paper Pattern For GATE 2017
Like every year, GATE 2017 will be a computer-based test. It will be an online examination of 65 questions comprising of total 100 marks.
The GATE 2017 test paper will be divided into two parts:
(a) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Each question will have four options and out of them candidate has to choose the correct one.
(b) Numerical Answer Questions
Candidate will be asked answer these questions by using the virtual keypad. There will be no options provided for this section.
