NEET 2016 Counseling: Everything You Need To Know

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) results on the official website on August 16 (Tuesday). The counseling of NEET 2016 will be conducted in two rounds and it will be in online mode. The counseling will be start from August 22 to August 25, 2016 by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). NEET 2016 counseling will be conducted for approximately 3500 MBBS and BDS seats.

Counseling Procedure:

The candidates have to register themselves to the NEET 2016 on the counselling portal.

After registering yourself, fill the choices. The candidate can fill as many options as they wish during online choice filling. However, choices should be in order of candidates’ preference.

Once choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it.

During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted options. If candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked at 5 pm of last date of choice locking.

Result/ rank letter issued by CBSE

Date of birth certificate (if Metric certificate does not bear the same)

Class 10th Certificate

The candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable:

NEET Exam 2016 : CBSE has Released Phase I and Phase II OMR Sheets Three Days Before The Earlier Announcement

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the NEET 2016 OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) Answer sheet of Phase I and Phase II on 4 August 2016 before the earlier announcement. NEET Phase 1, earlier known as AIPMT 2016, was conducted on May 1, 2016 and the NEET Phase II was held on July 24, 2016.

Earlier, as per the official CBSE notification, the OMR sheet was supposed to be released on August 7. All those who had appeared for the same, may check it at the official website, www.aipmt.nic.in

The NEET exam was conducted for admission into MBBS/BDS courses in the prestigious medical/dental colleges of India run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the observation of Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. This year, approximately 4.7 lakh candidates registered to appear for the examination at various centres.

Candidates who want to challenge the OMR grading of their OMR sheet may do so by paying INR 1000 per response challenged. However, the execution of NEET Exam as a single entrance for MBBS and BDS courses throughout the country for government and privately owned as well as run medical and dental colleges throughout was deferred for one year after President Pranab Mukherjee signed an ordinance put forth by Modi government.

As per the recent reports, the question paper for the NEET Exam for Phase II was held on July 24, 2016 was leaked, which CBSE later categorically denied. Reports also have it that a petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the re-test for the NEET Exam for the second phase.

The Common Services Centre (CSC) scheme is a part of the ambitious national e-Governance Plan (NeGP) of Government of India and is managed at each village panchayat level by a Village level entrepreneur (VLE).

The Govt. Of India has made available diverse Facilitation Centres for candidates who do not have access to the Internet and are unable to perform the application Online for NEET 2016 scheduled on July 24, 2016.

There are more than 1.5 lac Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will provide support to desired candidates from rural areas in online submission of application form and payment of fee through e-wallet. The exam has been conducted since 1984 for admission in several post-graduate programs and has seen many changes over a period of time. As new changes were introduced in 2016, a few more additional changes will be implemented in GATE 2017. These changes are as follows-

GATE Becomes International:

GATE 2017 will become International level exam. Candidates from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) can also apply for this examination. The main motto for conducting GATE 2017 in these locations is to attract different nationalities to widen the horizons of an academic environment. The website states, “ A foreign student brings with him/her a great diversity, culture and wisdom to share. Many GATE qualified candidates are paid scholarships/assistantship, especially funded by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India and by other Ministries”.

GATE 2017 Examination Timings:

GATE 2017 will be conducted on Feb 4 – Feb 5, 2017 and Feb 11 – Feb 12, 2017 in two sessions- morning and afternoon from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM respectively. Similarly, the candidates who are appearing at the international test centers will have their own local test timings, however, the time and duration will not change.

New Paper Pattern:

A new section has been introduced in the engineering sciences (XE) paper. This section is the Atmospheric and Oceanic sciences (Section H). GATE 2017 XE paper will now have eight sections from A to H.

New Steps in The Application Process:

No restriction on second choice examination city to be in the same zone as first choice city. It can be anywhere in India.

For the candidates who have completed their graduation qualifying degree, they are required to upload a scanned copy of the obtained degree, final year mark-sheet or completion certificate.

However, candidates yet to appear for their final examinations, can upload their pre-final year mark-sheet or provisional certificate as a proof of eligibility.

GATE 2017 exam dates were released recently and this year IIT Roorkee will be conduct. The exam will be held on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, in 2017. Correct your basics for every section

The foremost step to crack CAT is to know and understand the exam pattern and syllabus. After knowing your exam pattern and syllabus, focus on your basic concepts. Stop jumping from one topic to another, unless you have the clarity with the fundamentals of that topics. Devote at least three hour daily for your preparation of CAT 2016. The Chhattisgarh M.Tech 2016 Application Form is now available for admissions in the M.Tech. Candidates can apply online in three phases starting from July 11, 2016.
