The Indian Institute of Technology’s have occupied the top 10 best engineering colleges slot with IIT Madras placed at number one with a weighted score of 89.42, followed by IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur with weighted score of 87.67, 83.91, 82.03 and 81.07, respectively. 

While public colleges like IITs and NITs have been instrumental in providing the education and necessary guidance required for the polishing and development of these skills, there are also a number of private institutions that have been providing quality education.

Delhi Technological University (DTU) has invited applications for admissions to diverse M.Tech, M.E and B.Tech courses which are going to be started in the year of 2016-2017. The eligible candidates should apply online by June 22, 2016.

DTU Eligibility Criteria 2016-2017

1. The students who want to take admissions in engineering courses of top government and private institutes of Delhi, must have passed the JEE Main 2016 exam with a good rank. 

2. Students those pass the Class 12th with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

3. Admission is based on the All India Rank produced by CBSE (40% weighted for class 12). Candidates must also have the authority of being eligible by CBSE for central counseling.

Application Process:
The candidate can make the payment online and the fee is Rs. 1,000 along with bank charges.

The candidates who are willing to take the admission in top engineering colleges of DTU University have to apply for the admission before last date. 

In the step 1, candidates have to make their online registration by filling the required details like JEE Main Roll No, Date of Birth, valid e mail ID, phone number etc.

Admission Process

Admissions in B.Tech stream will be done through Counselling. Candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process will be invited to attend online counselling that will be organized by the university administration. The admission process comprises two steps of counseling. In the first step, students are needed to submit the counselling fee and in step 2 candidates are required to fill the college name where they want to take admission. 

After these two steps, the seat allotment will be done according to the marks obtained in JEE Exam 2016. After the allotment of seat candidates need to submit the requisite fee and must report to the respective University or college for document verification and confirmation of their admission.
